Drew School, Dean of Equity and Social Impact

Student Life & Athletics

Job Description

Drew School, an independent, nonsectarian college preparatory school located in the heart of San Francisco, is seeking a transformative, strategic, and visible leader to serve as its next Dean of Equity and Social Impact. Founded in 1908, Drew has emerged as a progressive educational institution that delivers strong academic outcomes while also challenging traditional definitions of academic success. In this unique environment where identity is viewed as multifaceted and dynamic, the school creates a student-centered educational journey that empowers young people to develop individual voices, build confidence, and cultivate deep empathy. Reporting to the Head of School and working closely with the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), the Dean will be tasked with leading comprehensive equity and inclusion work-strategically, pedagogically, and programmatically-across the school's 9–12 grade community. As both a strategic thought partner and hands-on practitioner, the Dean will be responsible for leading professional development, supporting faculty curriculum development, overseeing affinity groups, and creating programs that prepare students to be compassionate, critically aware leaders in an increasingly complex global context.
