Job Description
The American School in Japan (ASIJ) is seeking an experienced, dynamic school leader to assume the position of Deputy Head of School. This position works in close partnership with the Head of School, Eric F. Niles, and with the broader leadership team.
ASIJ is making the transition from a Deputy Head of School for Learning to a position that includes learning oversight along with a broader portfolio. The portfolio of specific responsibilities will depend upon both the qualifications of the successful applicant and the evolving needs of the School in any given year. Accordingly, we will want applicants to clearly articulate their specific experiences and passions as they imagine themselves in this role.
