The Head of School serves as Hebron Academy’s chief executive and educational leader, responsible for guiding the institution with integrity, vision, and a steadfast commitment to its mission. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the Head oversees all areas of school life including academics, finance, operations, and community engagement, ensuring that programs and practices reflect Hebron’s core values of excellence, character, and connection. This position requires strategic insight and a deep appreciation for the distinctive culture of a boarding and day school where relationships, trust, and personal growth are central to the experience.

The next Head of School will lead Hebron at an important moment of progress and promise. The Academy enjoys renewed optimism, strengthened community spirit, and growing momentum across academics, athletics, and student life. The Head will have the opportunity to sustain this positive trajectory by focusing on enrollment growth, financial stewardship, faculty development, and clear, transparent communication. A key priority will be articulating a shared and forward-looking vision that honors Hebron’s traditions while advancing innovation and stability.

In collaboration with an engaged Board of Trustees, a skilled senior leadership team, and a dedicated faculty and staff, the Head will nurture a culture of unity and purpose that celebrates Hebron’s Maine roots and its beautiful natural environment as an extension of the learning experience. By fostering transparency, trust, and authentic engagement across all constituencies, the Head of School will ensure that Hebron continues to thrive as a vibrant community of learning, character, and opportunity.
